Inmotion Hosting Review

Inmotion Hosting Review is data I’ve scrounged up on the internet of other customers that have been using Inmotion Hosting. Some of these website owners have been with Inmotion Hosting for 6-8 years. Their opinion is based on their own experiences with Inmotion Hosting. What some of them have experience and say is like deja vu for me. It’s completely inconceivable that a company can operate in the manner Inmotion Hosting does and has been for some time now according to these customers. For a company to promote itself as having excellent Customer Support and a Technical Support group second to none, it’s funny how real people that live with Inmotion Hosting see it completely differently. Here is the truth about Inmotion Hosting from real people/users.

5 days later and still the same lame responses like “it should work that way”, “I don’t know whats taking so long”, “were going to get on that right away!”. Its been a waste of time. These guys say they know wordpress but do you really?

Thought they were great when I signed up. BUT WOW they are scary incompetent.

Their server crashed and they lost ALL our data!!!! They were not doing any backups!!!!!! Can you believe it? NO backups!!

They also didn’t notify us of them loosing their server (with our website on it)! They waited for us to notice our site was down!

Also… When you call them.. the message you get is to become an outsourced third party host. isn’t that their job!!!!!!!?????!

If you do run!! and decide to use HostGator.Com instead. Fill in the coupon code with “Aaspedia25” and get an additional 25% discount on any discounted hosting package from HostGator on us. Just our way of saying “Thank You” for listening.

Just an update. The nightmare lasted another month with constant babysitting and hold times required.

We upgraded to another host. Spent more money, but it was worth it. Never missed inmotion for a minute.

I think the issue with InMotion is they don’t have good systems. My current host takes care of things quickly and they don’t drop the ball. It’s sad to have to write this, but after all of the hold times and idiotic customer service reps who I had to almost micromanage to get anything done, they deserve it.

And if you think I’m just a negative person, check out my other reviews. They are all positive. It takes a lot to get me to this point of frustration with a company.

AVOID INMOTION if you want to keep your domain.

A domain hijacker from a foreign country, using only the last four digits of one of our credit cards, stole our domain. First, InMotion does not require people to be logged in to access a chat rep. Here’s what happened.

– Hijacker accesses chat from blocked sub-net IP. InMotion cannot tell where they came from.
– Hacker gives last four digits of credit card on file. Asks to change admin email address on file. Chat rep complies.
– Hacker adds new fake credit card to account. Chat rep helps.
– Day passes. Hacker uses fake credit card to recover password. Logs into account. Initiates domain transfer away from our account to a new web provider.

We log in, by pure luck, and in the course of attempting to change another service, find out our domains are IN THE PROCESS OF BEING STOLEN.

InMotion says they are “helpless” and we need to contact the new registrar. We get emails apologizing and defending their security practices.

We STILL do not have our domain back a week and a half later and get only form letters or defense of their actions. No manager has called despite repeated pleas for assistance.

For the safety of your business, DO NOT use InMotion Hosting.

Use HostGator.Com instead. Fill in the coupon code with “Aaspedia25” and get an additional 25% discount on any discounted hosting package from HostGator on us. Just our way of saying “Thank You” for listening.

I switched to inmotion hosting briefly because it looked good and it is endorsed by cnet.com/web-hosting Now I realize this is a marketing promotion with CNET.

While tech support from Inmotion is good, inmotion didn’t provide enough juice to keep my WP website up and running if I had more than 5 visitors on the site. It would slow to a crawl, or even stop working. I
can’t run a business t

InMotion Hosting Deletes Website

Apologies to everyone that lands on AaspediaTV and finds my site in disarray, but that’s because InMotion Hosting Deletes Website. It seems my hosting company InMotion Hosting had a hack attack on the server my website resided on and InMotion took it upon themselves to deleting all files on that server prior to doing any type of a data backup. By neglecting to backing up the server they had in fact completely deleted all my data for Aaspedia TV. I’ve been trying to assemble it as quickly as possible from a back up I had a month ago, but InMotion had been dragging their feet in any type of assistance so the rebuilding has been taking a lot longer than anticipated.

After InMotion Hosting Deletes Website costumer service to my situation is surprisingly none existence. And when they do assist you, you’ll hear their all too common phrase they all practice and say so well ” We do not assist in third party software support”!! I’m using WordPress for Christ-shakes, perhaps the biggest online user software in the world. And their other phrase they throw at you is, “Our support service is a benefit and not a requirement”!! to our customers. So I should feel privilege when they fuck-up my site and don’t complain afterwards for technical support that refuses to help in fixing the mess they caused because after all, it’s a benefit !!

I will write more about my full experience with InMotion Hosting on this cluster-fuck they caused with transcripts I have of our conversations that will hi-lite what little if any effort they played in getting me up and running again. And the total lack of technical support they willingly won’t provided or that they just don’t have the technical knowledge to provide for you. But first, I need to get Aaspedia TV up and operating again.

As you can tell, I’m completely frustrated on how InMotion Hosting Deletes Website and would advise anyone looking for a hosting company to stay away from these people, especially if you’re using WordPress.

If you want to avoid these types of incidents from happening to you, you might want to check out HostGator.Com services. They’re having special pricing right now and if you fill in the coupon code with “Aaspedia25” you’ll get an additional 25% discount on any hosting package from HostGator on us. Just our way of saying “Thank You” for listening.

Thanks for the ear. We’ll be back soon.

I have just released the beginning of this saga. It is not intended for the weak of heart or those that only watch “G” rated films. It is a get in your face “I don’t give a flying shit” because it’s real and it’s happening right now!
